Bergamot essential oil has soothing properties and it helps in relaxation and is useful in cases of insomnia, it is an essential oil that should not be used directly on the skin because it is very concentrated and may cause burning of the skin if used directly on it and should be diluted with a carrier oil such as sweet almond oil or olive oil or jojoba oil and then used as a massage oil or moisturizer for the body with a pleasant scent or used in the oil burner.
